What is wirl?
wirl helps you choose and hire wardrobe stylists. Stylists serve as guides to help you go through your existing wardrobe at home and/or shop with you, in person, at whatever stores you’d like. Most customers have never used a personal stylist before. Our stylists are happy to follow your lead or to guide you through the process of putting together outfits and finding a new look. When you’re done you will love your clothes and feel great in them.

What is a Personal Stylist/Wardrobe Stylist?
Stylists help you develop a wardrobe that makes you feel comfortable, confident, and excited to get dressed! Stylists lend an expert eye to assist you in finding clothes that fit your unique body, are versatile and special, and coordinate well with what you already own. Your stylist can work with you to clean out and organize your closet, accessorize for work or play, find brands you love, and ultimately save valuable time and money!
How does it work?
You browse stylist profiles to find someone who is a good fit. Then you book an appointment with them. Each stylist sets their own hourly rate. They will meet you either in your home or wherever you choose. Together you will go through your wardrobe or shop for new pieces and get help with fit, style, color, and budget. We want you to feel great every time you get dressed!
Should I be nervous or embarrassed?
No! Our stylists are here to help you feel great! We don’t judge you, your body, or your clothes. We’re real people and we want to help real people. We’re not pushing you to spend or wear the latest fashions, we’re about helping you achieve your goals to gain confidence in your look.
Can I hire the stylist for a consultation and go through my closet?
Yes! wirl stylists love to help you with a “Closet Audit”. They’ll help you figure out what works and what it’s time to let go. They’ll help you put together great looks and identify additional items you might want to look for to enhance your wardrobe.
How many hours should I book with my stylist?
We recommend two hours for your first wirl. If you’re looking for a whole new look, or a seasonal update including multiple outfits, you may want to schedule more time. Closet audits take around 3 hours.
I just booked an appointment. When will I hear from my stylist?
Your stylists will text or email you (based on your preference) the day before your appointment to confirm where and when you will be meeting as well as asking some questions to start getting to know you and the kind of help you’re looking for.
Is wirl a subscription service?
No. You can book as many or as few style sessions as you want. And unlike most of the available “style-in-a-box” services, we truly are catering to your personal body and taste.
Where can I shop?
Anywhere you want! When you book your appointment you’ll let your stylist know where you want to meet. Be specific! (i.e. start at a specific store at a specific mall). It can be at a mall, at a discount store, at an outlet mall, or even at a consignment store. Wirl stylists can also help you pick a meeting spot.
How can I get the most out of my Styling Session?
- First, make sure to respond to your stylist’s text or email before you meet up with your stylist. Be specific about what you are looking for, how much you want your stylist to push you out of your comfort zone, and anything else you think is important for your stylist to know.
- Second, make sure to show up to your meeting location on time so that you and your stylist have the full Styling Session to shop!
- Third, after you meet up with your stylist, be specific about what you’re looking for, how your stylist can help, what brands/styles have and have not worked for you in the past, etc.
- Finally, be honest with your stylist! If you don’t like something they suggest, please let them know. Stylists need your feedback to know how best to help you!
Do I have to buy anything when I’m with my stylist?
Not at all! If you want to spend $0, $10, $100, or $1,000 that’s totally up to you. If you just want to spend the time looking and getting advice from your stylist, that’s what they will do with you!
How much does wirl cost?
Each stylist sets their own hourly rate. There is a two-hour minimum, and you can choose how many hours you
want to book.
Can wirl save me money?
Yes! We’ve found that most people don’t wear 40-60% of what’s in their closet. We help you avoid wardrobe waste! Our stylists will help you find clothes that fit well, make you look great, and that you truly love. They’re not paid on commission and will help you stick to your budget, find great sales, and shop thrift or consignment if that’s what you’re looking for. They can also help you repurpose clothes you already own, rediscover old favorites, create outfits, and identify needs.
When will I be charged?
Your credit card will be charged at the time you book an appointment. You can cancel (for a full refund) or reschedule more than 24 hours in advance.
Stylists set their own rate and work independently, so tipping is not customary.
Who are wirl stylists?
Everyone from long-time professional stylists to up-and-comers in the fashion world. Take a wirl through the stylists and find someone who is a good fit for you!
Have stylists been background checked?
Yes! Just to be extra safe, all stylists have gone through a background check. But remember to use your common sense in all interactions.

What if I need to cancel my appointment?
If it is more than 24 hours before your appointment you can cancel your appointment using the link in your confirmation email. You will get a full refund. If it is less than 24 hours before your appointment you will not get a refund, but we ask that you email firstname.lastname@example.org
so that we can let your stylist know
What if my stylist needs to cancel my appointment?
We know your time is precious. We take every precaution to make sure that this almost never happens, but sometimes life throws emergencies at our stylists. We will contact you as soon as we know it might happen to remedy the situation, either by rescheduling or with a full refund and our sincere apologies.
I’m not happy with how my Styling Session went. What do I do?
We’re very sorry to hear that! Most people feel great at the end of their style session, but sometimes things just aren’t right. Please contact us via email at email@example.com
